When you recycle your computer with Advanced Electronics Recycling Solutions, all hard drives are removed and physically destroyed to protect our customer's proprietary and personal information. Not only is the hard drive a target for obtaining information for identity theft, there are other data storage device that contains the same information. This is why AERS also destroys other media storage units such as floppy disk, CD's, DVD's, Back Up tapes, Zip disk and more.
